In the field of education, it is essential that every student’s needs are being met. Throughout history, students with special needs have not always been integrated into the school system. Individuals with Disabilities Education Act collaborates special and general education teachers to include students with special needs in the general education classroom as much as possible. Before the act became a part of our education system, schools often refused to teach students that had disabilities. IDEA does not deny students with special needs to the same education as students without special needs and should be integrated into every school setting. IDEA enables students with special needs the chance to participate in the general education classroom. Under the act, schools must give students extra services to excel in the general education classroom as much as possible. The school can not the student to receiving education in the general classroom unless his or her educational needs are not being met.
Including students with special needs in the general education classroom gives them a chance to interact with his or her classmates. Also, it gives students without special needs the opportunity to work together those students with special needs. All educators including general education classroom teachers and special education teachers should work together with other school professionals to enhance the lives of every student. Students learn from being around their peers, and a lot of the time students with special needs are rejected that opportunity because accommodation and modifications for those students are not being met. IDEA also includes students with disabilities the chance to participate in local and state assessments. IDEA works for the greater good of students with disabilities by incorporating them into the general education classroom as much as possible. It protects students through age three to age twenty-one.
Students with special needs are sometimes left out in the school setting simply because of his or her disability. IDEA makes it mandatory that students be included into the general education classroom as much as possible but there are no assessments that show it is actually occurring the schools. Certain schools may say they incorporate students with special needs in the general classroom as much as possible but there is nothing say that it is being done. Some of the time, general education teachers do not feel comfortable teaching students that require certain accommodations and modifications and perhaps they are not being taught the same education as students that do not require accommodations and modifications. IDEA also defines the right to students with special needs the right support out of the school setting, such as transportation, counseling and physical therapy. The special services are required to accommodate the students to receive the same education as students without special needs.

Megan,
Good draft here. One thing I notice is that there are a number of sentences where key words have been left out. I suspect that time constraints are the cause of this. My suggestion is to read through the post once before submitting it. This should help you identify those areas where it appeared that the thought was complete, but where the mind and the keyboard did not sync up.
